Annual Financial Statement Audits and Compliance Audits

Audits performed in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America as set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the standards set forth for financial audits in the United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) Government Auditing Standards and, if applicable, the provisions of the Federal Single Audit Act and the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and Nonprofit Organizations.

Activity Fund Accounting and Monitoring

Many local governments are facing significant deficiencies and material weaknesses in relation to their various activity funds. Bohnsack & Frommelt LLP can resolve the deficiencies through monitoring, posting and reconciling the daily activity of the accounts. We will assist your entity in establishing policies surrounding the activity funds, provide training, provide receipts and record transactions and reconcile the activity to the bank statements.

In addition we will provide monthly activity reports to the activity funds administrators for verification and certification of accuracy. Any deviations from established policy will be highlighted to the entity for further verification of accuracy.

Budget Preparation and Monitoring

Budget preparation and monitoring includes consulting advice in the technical development of the entity’s annual budget which consists of assistance in estimating annual revenues and expenditures based on management’s and the governing body’s assumptions and parameters. Monitoring assistance will be provided consisting of quarterly analysis of budget to actual reports presented to the governing body.

Capital Asset Record Maintenance

Capital asset record management includes data entry into capital asset inventory software including providing assistance with annual additions, deletions and depreciation based on the entity’s capital asset policy. Bohnsack & Frommelt LLP will generate capital asset reports needed for annual reporting and other management purposes.

Accounting Assistance

Accounting assistance to meet your needs including cash to accrual conversion, audit preparation services, temporary controller assistance, purchase order system consulting, assistance in reconciling account balances, bank reconciliations, and other projects as identified by the entity.

Report Preparation

Bohnsack & Frommelt LLP is available to meet your reporting needs including regulatory annual financial report preparation, comprehensive annual financial report preparation, police or fire pension report preparation or other regulatory report preparation.

Agreed Upon Prodedures Engagements

Agreed upon procedure engagements under attestation standards including bond sufficiency calculations, grant compliance, or any other agreed upon procedure of an assertion of a subject matter.
